Hi, I’m Kellie and I’m currently available for Adult Therapy
As a therapist my aim is to provide a confidential, secure space where we can work together to help you understand and cope with your mental health. I offer therapy that caters to the needs of the individual, in a way which is as unique as you are. Therapy is not a ‘one size fits all’!
I’m a Humanistic therapist, meaning that I work with you, your story and how you experience the world. This integrative approach allows the flexibility to work in diverse ways to help you get what you want from coming to therapy. This could be using art, sand trays and miniatures, or a timeline of your life. I believe that you are an expert on how you experience the world and I make room for all aspects of this.
I’ve professional and personal experience with Neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia) and aim to provide a Neuro-inclusive environment. My studio has different lighting options, seating, textures, calming colour pallets, sensory fidgets and various artworks.
Often clients come experiencing feelings of sadness, with a sense of loneliness, low self esteem or family concerns. Whether it’s issues of low mood, anxiety, depression, grief/bereavement or trauma, we can work together. I accept clients aged 18+, from all backgrounds, and welcome discussion on all subjects.
My qualifications and experience
I have completed a total of seven years of study and training, plus five years of voluntary client work in charities and NHS settings.
I have a UKCP and BACP Accredited Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a UKCP Accredited Diploma in Psychotherapy.
I am UKCP accredited and can be found on their directory and also The Counselling Directory.
I have also attended a Mental Health First Aid course and am now a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®). This course teaches knowledge and skills for providing first aid to support people who may be experiencing poor mental health.
I am also a member of
Supporting non-pathologising ways of understanding and responding to emotional distress.
