Hi, I’m Kellie, a Therapist who works with adults in Newcastle upon Tyne.
My aim is to create a safe, confidential space where we can gently explore your experiences together. Here, you’ll be supported in understanding and navigating your mental health. Therapy with me is never ‘one size fits all’. Each person’s journey is unique, and I tailor my approach to reflect that.
My approach
As a Humanistic therapist, I work alongside you, your story, and the way you experience the world. My integrative style allows us to draw on different methods depending on what feels right for you. Sometimes this might include creative tools such as art, sand trays, miniatures, or mapping out a timeline of your life. I believe you are the expert in your own experience.
Neuro-Inclusive Practice
With both professional and personal experience of neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia), I aim to provide a neuro-inclusive environment. Together, we can explore how you experience the world and what adjustments you might need. If you’re unsure, we’ll work it out gently, step by step.
Common issues
Clients often come to me with feelings of sadness, loneliness, low self-esteem, or family concerns. Together, we can explore challenges such as low mood, anxiety, depression, grief, bereavement, trauma, or the process of understanding autistic or ADHD traits.
Who I work with
I welcome individuals aged 18+ from all backgrounds, and all subjects are open for discussion.
My qualifications and experience
I have completed a total of seven years of study and training, plus five years of voluntary client work in charities and NHS settings.
I have a UKCP and BACP Accredited Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a UKCP Accredited Diploma in Psychotherapy.
I am UKCP accredited and can be found in their directory and also The Counselling Directory.
I have also attended a Mental Health First Aid course and am now a Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®). This course teaches knowledge and skills for providing first aid to support people who may be experiencing poor mental health.
